The Ripples approach is a bit different to anything you might have experienced.
We chat, I listen.
You share, I notice.
We don't do an in-session hypnosis process.
Instead, we take an alternative route.
After gathering impressions about your presenting issues and desired outcomes either in person or via a call, I then reflect on your energy and your circumstances, taking into account a variety of influences and create a personalised hypnosis recording program to suit you.
These hypnosis experiences are designed specifically for you with your goals and preferences in mind, meeting you where you are, and addressing what you wish to change, helping you orient to where you want to be.
The experiences are structured so you can build the inner infrastructure (new neural pathways) toward that change from the inside out, refocussing your perceptions and illuminating your inner strength. You can listen to the hypnosis experiences in your own time, keep them forever and revisit them frequently.
With repetition and continuous refocussing on desired outcomes, combined with imaginative immersion and interoception (attunement to body sensations). the experiences are designed to help you re-wire your inner processes and regulate your nervous system, building internal capacity to allow for change to occur.
We can build on what you discover from your inner explorations after a month or so — or, you may get exactly what you need from our initial discussions. Many clients do (see below).
There's no one-size fits all procedure. It's different for each client. The process is entirely organic, yet based on bio-psycho-social research. You can read more about the evidence on the Approach page, and in these Articles.
What to expect:
Discovery call (approx 10-30 minutes)
We'll have chat to discuss what it is you're looking to change. You'll get a sense of whether you feel resonance with me, and for me, I'll determine whether I feel I can help you.
Often I will suggest trying a hypnosis recording so you can get a sense of my approach. You're free to ask any questions and share any concerns you may have.
Initial consultation
We'll meet in person or online and talk a bit about your goals, your reservations and preferences, what you've tried and what doesn't work. This chat varies in time, generally an hour.
I'll use the gathered information to prepare you custom hypnosis experience(s) considering presenting issues, patterns and perceptions that will help the hypnosis suggestions land for you. You can read more about what to expect from hypnosis processes in the FAQs.
Recording delivery
Within about 7 days, you'll receive your hypnosis recording(s) and a listening suggestion schedule. The recordings will be delivered as .mp3's via a Dropbox link so you can save them to your phone and listen whenever you want.
After 3-4 weeks we'll schedule a call or a meet-up to chat through your experiences and what's emerged/shifted for you. We'll work through any discoveries if needed, and determine if next steps are required.
As you can see, the approach is not just 1 x 60 minute session — one and done — but a thoughtful consideration into your personality, perception and patterns, and a support plan to keep you aligned to what it is you want.

Client Case Study #1
John was experiencing panic attacks which were becoming more frequent in the last couple of months. He knew there was a trauma associated with it. To aside his regular sessions with his counsellor, I created a hypnosis experience he could use to help regulate his nervous system, work through inner energy blockages and calm his mind to envision a future where the attacks were a thing of the past. I integrated some of John's favourite locations in nature and provided opportunity for him to envision future ideals he'd like to experience.
Result:
After checking in about 4 weeks later via phone, John reported increased feelings of calm and decreased intensity of anxiety, with no recurrence of panic attacks. He reported better sleep and said he frequently revisited the hypnosis recording to incite a sense of inner calm.
Client Case Study #2
Mo wanted to enhance his willpower to help him lose weight. Upon talking with Mo, it was clear there were many stressors contributing to comfort eating, including work stress and a recent major relocation, leading him to neglect self care and forward planning that would set him up for success. I created a hypnosis recording for him to help him identify when he was operating in automatic patterns/impulses, identify and become attracted to foods that were nourishing and energy producing, as well as suggestions for his body to diminish attraction to unhealthy options and add in gentle, fun and enjoyable exercise into his daily routine. He also mentioned ongoing back pain in our discussions, so I addressed that in the recording too.
Result:
Here's Mo's feedback after 6 weeks:
"Objectively, my weight has remained stable, but my back has been giving me a little less trouble, so I’ve been sleeping better. Subjectively, I’m feeling much better overall — more positive, hopeful, and in control. Even though I haven’t yet reached my initial goal, I’m encouraged by the progress and mindset shifts I’ve noticed along the way.
I’ve used the recording you sent twice. Interestingly, when I asked what my body needs for nutrition, the word “peace”came to mind. I’m still reflecting on what that might mean, but it feels significant.
